What happens during my first visit?Before your first treatment is carried out a full consultation will be taken. This will include your medical history & lifestyle details. This will help me to adapt the treatment to your needs. All information given & documented will be confidential.
Is the consultation included in the treatment times?All treatment times quoted are maximum times & do not include the consultation. Please allow an extra 15 minutes for your first consultation.
Do you mix your own Aromatherapy Oils?No, all of my Aromatherapy Oils have been pre-diluted in to various carrier oils. During your consultation for your Aromatherapy Massage, I will pick which pre-blended oil will be suitable for your treatment and inform you what is in the blend. I will also give you the opportunity to smell the oil blend to make sure you like it.
Will any of the treatments be painful?No, none of the treatments should cause any pain. You may find that certain areas are more sensitive than others, but this may be due to muscle tension. If any part of the treatment causes you discomfort, let me know & will change the pressure used (if its massage/reflexology) or stop the treatment, and review what can be done.
Will I have to remove any of my clothing?If you are having a full body massage you will be asked to undress down to your underwear, but you will be provided with towels to cover up with. Whilst on the couch only the part being massaged will be exposed. If there is anything you feel uncomfortable or self conscious about, let me know & we'll see if we can adapt the treatment for you. Indian Head Massage can be carried out fully clothed, but to get the full benefit of the treatment, and to protect your cloths, it is normally carried out with your top removed and a towel to wrap around your top half. As before though, if you prefer you can wear a t-shirt & I will work over clothing.
With Reflexology & Hopi Ear Candling the treatment is carried out fully clothed. I just ask you to wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.
